Laurance et al (2015) stress 9 key issues in 21st Century expansion 
of human occupation of land surface, 3 of them related to need for 
conservation entities and individuals to work with the banking 
industry -- and for bankers to find relationships with conservation 
agencies and biologists.

For example, "Financial institutions need to integrate long-term 
environmental protection into  ....  the business case of individual 
projects." (Real estate developers, often dependent on loans, face
