[MCN] Square Dance Calling Workshop Sunday Feb 28th -- Tomorrow!

Charmaine Slaven, dance caller & musician visiting from Seattle, will be
teaching a workshop on traditional square dance calling for beginning
callers on Sunday, Feb 28th from 3 to 5 pm. There is still space available
and it is not too late to register! Details below--

Workshop description: The workshop will focus on traditional southern
Appalachian squares and include instruction on how to teach dances, how to
work with a band, and how to call a dance that is inclusive and fun for all
involved. This is a beginners workshop, so no previous calling experience
required, however some experience with square or contra dancing is
helpful.  Stringband musicians will provide live music, and the students
will get lots of opportunities for hands-on learning.

When: Sunday February 28-- 3 to 5 pm (that's tomorrow!)
