Sussex School, an independent, K-8th grade school is hiring a part-time
school counselor for the 2016/17 school year. Sussex School has been
educating students in Missoula for over 45 years, and was selected as one
of the top 50 independent schools in the U.S. by thebestschools.org last
year.  Sussex focuses on academic, social, and emotional learning with a
whole child approach to learning.

Job Summary:

   -

   Work with K-8th grade students and staff to build social and emotional
   literacy.


   -

   Communicate closely with staff regarding student development and
   progress by identifying current needs and actions to be taken.


   -

   Work closely with K-8 staff on how to increase the emotional literacy
   and interpersonal communication skills of all Sussex students.


   -

   Work with individual students and small groups to better student
   communication skills among friends.


   -

   Work to create a climate that promotes health and well-being for all
   students.


   -

   Compile and gather resources for K-8th grade staff to use in the
   classroom.

Compensation: $30/hour, 12 hours/week
