The Jeannette Rankin Peace Center is sponsoring Father Jim Hogan's annual
Search for Peace art contest, and we were hoping to get the word out early
and loudly this year. Our children's art contest encourages youth of all
ages to submit an art form that represents our theme of "welcoming" others
as a search for peace within our community. We are trying to address
current controversy around the refugee crisis and raise understanding
within the community. There is prize money for first place in each age
group and the submissions will be displayed on May 6th at a First Friday
event. Attached below is the press release for the event as well as fliers.
We look forward to an eventful next couple of months!
