[MCN] Organic Seed Alliance Seeks New Executive Director

This job opening provides an exciting opportunity for a qualified individual to lead a 13-year-old organization that is positioned to have a transformative influence on organic agriculture in the United States. OSA stands out as a leader in collaborative organic seed research, education, and advocacy. The ED provides strategic leadership and oversight of the organization's operations and three program areas to ensure OSA is achieving its mission to advance the ethical development and stewardship of seed. This role requires managing a complex set of organizational activities that include, but are not limited to, ensuring program work aligns with OSA's mission; maintaining operational and financial sustainability; building organizational capacity; and leading development activities, including identifying new, and managing existing, donor relationships.



The ED works closely with an experienced staff and board who represent diverse backgrounds and experiences. While organic agricultural knowledge is desired, non-profit development and business management are the highest priority skills desired for this position. The ED directly supervises staff, many of whom work remotely from other states, and supports them in developing and executing projects that advance the success of OSA.
