Garden City Harvest is a nonprofit organization working to build community
through agriculture with our community and school gardens and urban farms.

The following positions are open with our organization -- there's a mix of
summer jobs and managerial positions! All have full job descriptions and
deadlines <http://www.gardencityharvest.org/about/employment/>.

*Youth Harvest Project Manager & Therapist*

Garden City Harvest’s Youth Harvest Project seeks a licensed therapist, or
a person who is license eligible in the state of Montana, to manage this
therapeutic based, service-oriented work program for at-risk teenagers. Up
to ten youth are employed each growing season to work on a 10-acre
sustainable urban farm doing daily farm work, operating a mobile farm stand
serving senior citizens and working once a week at the local food bank.

*Farm to School Assistant*

The Farm to School Assistant is a shared position between Garden City
Harvest and the MCPS Food and Nutrition Services Program. This position
will support all GCH Farm to School Activities as necessary. The Farm to
School Assistant will also serve as the coordinator of the MCPS Central
Kitchen Garden, as well as work with MCPS Central Kitchen Staff to
integrate more local food into cafeterias. This position will also work to
enhance educational opportunities related to the Central Kitchen and Farm
to School special events.

*Youth Farm Apprentice*

This is an educational apprenticeship providing the opportunity to learn
advanced sustainable farming practices and components of working and
engaging with teenagers living in foster care.

The Youth Farm started in 2010 is a partnership with Youth Homes and Garden
City Harvest. The Youth Farm was created to give teenagers, living in
foster care, employment through a hands-on program that teaches job skills,
and offers community engagement and empowerment through agriculture. As a
productive 2+ acre farm, the Youth Farm crew operates four Mobile-Market
sites serving lower income Missoulians, a Community Supported Agriculture
program (CSA), and donates thousands of pounds of food to family service
agencies each year. The Youth Farm’s employment program designed for older
adolescents aging out of foster care works directly with Youth Homes staff
to provide a safe and challenging environment that teaches and develops
social skills, encourages positive behavior, and advocates for personal
responsibility.

*Orchard Gardens & River Road Farm Apprentices*

Garden City Harvest has an opening for a Farmer’s Apprentices at two
locations: Orchard Gardens Neighborhood Farm and River Road Neighborhood
Farm. This is an educational apprenticeship providing the opportunity to
learn sustainable farming practices through hands-on experience working at
an urban farm.

*Farm to School Summer Internship*

Join the Farm to School summer team as they lead PEAS Farm and Orchard
Gardens camps, offer farm tours and have fun in the fields. Great way to
hone teaching skills in the outdoors and learn about life on the farm.
