It's been a raucous year. We've seen proposals we couldn't have 
imagined: industrial gold mining, commercial logging, major roads, an 
airport, new buildings, lake and stream poisonings, pesticides, 
unregulated motorboat use, giant prescribed burns, hundreds of 
helicopter landings for collaring elk, predator exterminations, and 
helicopter-assisted military training...all in Wilderness.
*Wilderness Watch <http://wildernesswatch.org/> is confronting each and 
every one of these threats from our home for the last 27 years in 
Missoula.* Thus far, with the help of supporters in Montana and across 
the country, we've managed to hold all of these projects at bay.
Our work is lean and effective with a dedicated staff and board of 
directors working with great passion every day so that our nation passes 
on to our children and grandchildren the wildest, most awe-inspirinig 
Wilderness in the world.
