[MCN] Calendar event for September 22

*Peace educator David J. Smith will talk about his book Peace Jobs: A
Student's Guide to Starting a Career Working for Peace on Thursday,
September 22, 2016 at the Jeannette Rankin Peace Center.   Bring your lunch
and join us. David teaches in the School for Conflict Analysis and
Resolution at George Mason University and was formerly a senior manager at
the U.S. Institute of Peace.  He is currently president of the Forage
Center for Peacebuilding and Humanitarian Education, Inc.   In his book, he
offers advice and insight on exploring careers focusing on peacebuilding,
human rights, humanitarian assistance, and conflict resolution.   His book
includes 30 profiles of young professionals working in the field who
provide inspiration to the reader for considering career pathways.  The
book features a number of peace leaders including Jeannette Rankin.  He
will bring books to sell after the talk. *
