<https://wildernesswatch.salsalabs.org/flatheadforestplan/index.html?eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=06fcf621-8bf7-4d12-ac27-6e26ddf927cb>to
help guide the management of the Flathead National Forest in Montana—a
national and international treasure that is a key part of the greater
Bob Marshall Wilderness complex-Glacier National Park ecosystem. The
Forest Service is in the process of revising its forest management plan
for the Flathead National Forest and your comments are important—the
revised forest plan will guide management decisions for decades to come.

Right now, local special interests are flooding the U.S. Forest Service
with anti-wilderness and anti-wildlife comments calling for
huge increases in industrial logging and roadbuilding in
threatened grizzly bear and Canada lynx habitat, and demanding the
FS open up potential wilderness lands adjacent to the Bob Marshall
Wilderness to motorized and mechanized use.

Luckily, *federal public lands like the Flathead National Forest belong
equally to all Americans*, so you can help stand up for Wilderness and
wildlife by asking the Flathead National Forest (FNF) to:

  * Support Alternative C's recommendation for adding 506,919 acres of
    Wilderness on the Flathead National Forest;
  * Prohibit all motorized and mechanized vehicles in recommended
    Wilderness;
  * Include the current forest plan's “Amendment 19,” which would finish
    securing promised grizzly bear habitat;
  * Include the current forest plan’s Riparian Management Objectives and
    the proposed plan’s 300-ft wetland buffers and 100-ft intermittent
    stream buffers.

*Take action:
