Hi Nat,
I have been wrestling with an old issue I thought I’d resolved:
When I send items to RECNET or MCN, the text auto-converst from what you see below to html and looks horrible (See attached).
I worked on this with IT last year, and thought it was fixed. I eddied out again on it today.
For now, can you just cut and paste the text, below and blast it to MCN: <missoula-community-news at bigskynet.org>
I hope to take Monday off so that would be great if you could shoot it to them.
I think we are good otherwise.
Thanks!

Subject: Wilderness Institute Lecture Series Kicks Off Tuesday 1/31

Join the Wilderness Institute<http://www.cfc.umt.edu/wi/default.php> for the first of nine lectures in the 33rd Annual Wilderness Issues Lecture Series<http://www.cfc.umt.edu/wi/education/lecture-series/default.php>

“Lessons of Environmental Stewardship Told Through the Voice of Dystopias”
Dr. Robin Parent
Tuesday, January 31, 2017
The series takes place every Tuesday at 7:00pm in Gallagher Business Building Room 122 on the UM campus.

Dr. Parent’s lecture will explore how dystopias tell the story of a future impacted by a catastrophic past that usually relates to the reader’s present. In many cases, the environment plays a significant role in the outcome of the Dystopia. This talk will highlight the relationship between power and the environment in Octavia Butler’s “Parable of the Sower”, Starhawk’s “The Fifth Sacred Thing”, and Scott Westerfeld’s “Uglies” and how these dystopias provide avenues for engaging and learning about the environment.

Dr. Parent is the Director of Student Engagement for the Davidson Honors College at the University of Montana. Her areas of research include: Feminisms, Dystopias, Young Adult Literature, Mentoring, Inclusivity & Diversity.

......................................................

As usual, these lectures are FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. UM students may receive credit for the series by registering for NRSM 371, CRN 30257.
