*Local Businesses Offer Prizes to Missoula Gives Donors*

*“Donor Lounges” Provide Opportunities for Community to Give and Receive*



*What: *Missoula County’s largest fundraiser, Missoula Gives, promotes
local philanthropy and community participation. The 24-hour event happens
both online and in-person, with local businesses hosting “donor lounges”
with unique incentives to inspire donations. More than 155 nonprofits have
registered to participate; and event organizers hope to raise $300,000 from
3,000 Missoulians. Since it first launched in 2014, Missoula Gives has
raised more than $644,000 for 140 local organizations.



*Why: *As a civic crowdfunding event, Missoula Gives aims to raise
awareness of the diversity of organizations that exist in Missoula, and to
encourage a collective effort to fund charitable causes.



*Who: *Missoula Gives is organized and run by the Missoula Community
Foundation. This year’s premier sponsor is the Missoula Federal Credit
Union. Donor lounges and incentives will be provided by Brooks & Browns,
the Florence Hotel Lobby, the Good Food Store, Missoula Federal Credit
Union, Plonk, Red Bird Wine Bar, Submittable, the University of Montana,
and others.



*When/Where: *Missoula Gives runs May 4-5. Online donations can be made at

<http://www.missoulagives.org>. Donor lounges and incentives will be
running in the following locations:



*May 4*: 10:30a - 1:00p: University of Montana Oval: Organization with the
most donations wins extra funding; free t-shirt with donations of $15 or
more.



*May 4*: 5:00p - 7:00p: Plonk: Donors will receive a free drink chip and be
entered into a raffle.



*May 5*: 10:00a - 5:00p: Florence Hotel Lobby: Blood drive, free popcorn,
pizza, chair massage, snacks by Posh Chocolat and Red Bird, and kitties to
pet from Animal Control.



*May 5*: 10:00a - 2:00p: Good Food Store: Free snacks and donors will be
entered into a drawing.



*May 5*: 11:30a - 12:30p: Brooks & Browns: Free yoga and mimosas.



*May 5*: 5:00p - 7:00p: Missoula Federal Credit Union (3600 Brooks St):
Free drinks, food, live music, face painting, and yard games. Free goodie
bags for first 150 donors.
