CIEE (The Council on International Educational Exchange - www.ciee.org) is
looking for host families in the Missoula area for the 2017-2018 academic
year to support exchange students. My family has had an incredible
experience hosting a 17 year old boy from Spain this year. I have two
boys, 13 and 9, and Xabi has become the third brother in our family and
will remain a part of our lives forever. We plan on visiting him in Bilbao
in the near future.

Missoula is an awesome place to share with students from around the world.
I know Xabi's perspective on America will be changed because of his
experience in this place (he thought most Americans were fat and junkies
before arriving!). It means a lot to me to know that this boy will go back
to Spain and tell his family and friends about all the good people he met
in America. It's grassroots diplomacy and right now the US needs all the
help it can get to improve it's image around the world.

Here is the low-down:

*CIEE Host Families:*

• Accept a student into their home as a part of their family
for one or two semesters

• Provide a bed and room

• Share 3 meals a day

• Claim a $50 per month deduction on federal income taxes

• Receive local and regional support 24/7 from well-trained
staff and volunteers

*CIEE Students are:*

• Between the ages of 15 and 18 (Grades 10-12)

• Well screened and thoroughly tested for adjustability

• Proficient in English – completed 3+ years of English
classes

• Have access to their own spending money

• Have health insurance coverage through CIEE

• Eager to experience the U.S. and meet their new host family

Please contact me with questions, 406-370-6643. There are some great kids
out there looking for host families and I would be happy to share their
profile with interested people (there are two boys from South America and
two girls from Asia).

Cheers,
