Hello Missoulians,

You're invited to the next Missoula Climate Forum *this afternoon!* Tuesday,
October 24. We'll be talking about the *Colstrip Power Plant* and a
planned* Sierra
Club trip to Spokane Nov. 8 to testify to the Washington Utilities and
Transportation Commission (UTC) *about Avista winding down its ownership of
the coal-fired facility.

*The Colstrip Power Plant is the largest climate polluter in the American
West.* Puget Sound Energy will be pulling out of Colstrip by 2027 but *co-owner
Avista is holding onto a 2037 exit date*. We hope Montanans travelling to
Spokane for the public hearings will help convince the Washington UTC to
push Avista to aim for a similar exit date as Puget Sound Energy.

I'm looking forward to speaking with you about the future of the Colstrip
Power Plant and our upcoming Sierra Club road trip where you can play a
part in determining the future of this Montana coal-burning facility.
