Hello Missoulians!
With a rainy and cold fall weekend on the way, what better way to spend it
than warm and cozy and working on your mind! Osel Shen Phen Ling is
thrilled to host a mini-retreat this weekend, the Joy of Letting Go: Using
Wisdom to Change Our Lives with visiting Dharma teacher, Don Handrick.
Many of life's difficulties and complications are the result of our own
negative habitual thoughts and actions, but these ways of thinking need not
control our lives. In Don's weekend course, we'll examine a variety of
these mental pathways in order to disempower them and cultivate new
behaviors rooted in truth and genuine well being.
Don Handrick is a registered Dharma teacher within the Foundation for the
Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition and the current resident teacher at
Thubten Norbu Ling in Santa Fe, NM. He is the graduate of a 7-year Master
of Buddhist Studies program and is well-known for his deep knowledge of the
Dharma and his easy-going, practical teaching style.
This mini-retreat takes place Saturday, Sept. 30 from 10am-3pm and Sunday,
Oct. 1 from 10am-12pm at Osel Shen Phen Ling, 441 Woodworth Ave. There is a
$30 suggested donation but all are welcome to attend. Attendees are asked
to consider bringing a vegetarian dish to share for lunch on Saturday.
Visit our website, www.fpmt-osel.org, or call 406-531-9122 for more
information.
We hope you'll pull on your sweaters, pour a cup of hot tea, and join us
for this wonderful opportunity!
Big Love,
Bill Pfeiffer
