[MCN] Registration Open for Western Montana Farmer Field Days!

Spring finally seems to be here and that means it's time for:

The Community Food and Agriculture Coalition <http://www.missoulacfac.org/>
and Farm Link Montana <https://www.farmlinkmontana.org/> are excited to
announce the lineup for Farmer Field Days 2018. This season's lineup
highlights high value crops and infrastructure to enhance production and
conservation. The Farmer Field days are a unique opportunity to get a
behind-the-scenes look, learn from farmers who have done it before, and
network with other beginning farmers and ranchers.

Field Days will be *the 3rd Wednesday of each month, from May through
September. *Check out the lineup below:

May 16: *High Tunnel Design and Construction*; Sweet Root Farm, Hamilton
June 20: *Small Fruit Production & Urban Resources*; Red Hen Farm &
Orchard, Missoula
July 18: *Irrigation Systems on a Diversified Farm*; Foothill Farm, St.
Ignatius
August 15: *Growing Organic Seed for Winter Cash Flow*; Fresh Roots Farm,
Polson
September 19: *Salad Greens Production from Seed to Store*; County Rail
Farm, Huson

Our field days are geared toward people who are just at the beginning of
their farm training- farm hands, interns, folks thinking about starting a
farm in the near future, and those who are currently in the startup
process. Of course, established farmers and ranchers are welcome too! *We
ask that you RSVP ahead of time so that we can have a good estimate of
numbers in advance.*
