[MCN] Learn about onX maps with Montana Wilderness Association and Missoula Back Country Horsemen

The Montana Wilderness Association's Shining Mountains Chapter wants to make sure you have all the tools you need to make the most of your time enjoying our wild places this summer. In conjunction with Missoula Back Country Horsemen, we are hosting Missoula’s very own onX Maps on Wednesday, June 20th for a special hands-on introduction to using their OnX Hunt<https://www.facebook.com/onxhunt/> app.

Much more than just a hunting tool, the Hunt app is a powerful digital map system with multiple layers—topo shading, wilderness boundaries, hiking trails, and much more—that will allow you to use a Garmin GPS or your smartphone to plan and execute outdoor adventures.

Preston Person and Sean Doran, customer experience team members at onX, will share how to use this powerful mapping tool anywhere from the trails outside of town to Montana’s wildest and most remote places. And to sweeten the deal, onX will generously provide free subscriptions to their smartphone app to all who attend this event. If you’d like to follow along on your own smartphone during the presentation, just download the Hunt app before the event to create an account and access a free seven day trial.
