[MCN] Compassion Cultivation Training Course: Begins January 7

For the first time publicly in Missoula, Osel Shen Phen Ling is excited to
offer Compassion Cultivation Training (CCT), an 8-week program designed to
develop the qualities of compassion, empathy, and kindness for oneself and
for others. The CCT™ course is designed to support anyone who wants to
engage compassion for themselves and improve their relationships with
others.

Taught by certified Compassion Educator, Colleen Kane, CCT integrates
traditional contemplative practices with contemporary psychology and
scientific research on compassion. The CCT protocol was developed by a team
of contemplative scholars, clinical psychologists, and researchers at
Stanford University, including Dr. Thupten Jinpa, translator for His
Holiness the Dalai Lama. CCT is appropriate for health care professionals
as well as the general public. Health care professionals will be able to
incorporate the tools and practices offered in this program in ways
beneficial to clients or patients.

CCT will take place from 7pm-9pm, Tuesday evenings, January 7 - March 5 (no
class Feb. 19) at Osel Shen Phen Ling. There is a suggested donation of
$250 for the full course, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
