Hello there,

The Wilderness Institute will feature the third installment in the 2019 Wilderness Lecture Series on Tuesday, February 12 at 7pm in the Gallagher Business Building, Room 123. Please see the description and details below. Thanks!

Begin description:

We are Obligate Mutualists: The Stories of Soul Mates

Life is a story of give and take. In the high mountain forests of the West, Clark's nutcrackers furiously collect seeds from whitebark pines. Food, yes, but the birds' tendency to cache seeds also leads to new growth. Julie Cajune - a writer, producer, and the director of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes' Education Department - discusses the essential nature of reciprocity for life through the lens of stories about relationships, birds and pines included.

Join us for this free public lecture and discussion on Tuesday, February 12 at 7 p.m. in Gallagher Business Building 123 on the University of Montana campus.

Cajune's talk is the fourth in the Wild Hope: Fearless Risk Takers, Art Markers and Storytellers on Wilderness and Conservation Front Lines lecture series, presented by the Wilderness Institute. The Wilderness Issues Lecture Series continues weekly until March 5.
