Five bad bills need the Governor's veto pen! ️
It’s been a long session and, frankly, we’re glad it’s over. But we still have one last, important job to do, and that’s to make sure that Governor Bullock vetoes five particularly bad bills passed by the legislature.

Once bills are passed by the legislature, the Governor has 10 days to sign them into law, veto them, or take no action (in which case they become law anyway). The clock is already ticking so please contact Governor Bullock as soon as possible:

Call the Governor's office at (406) 444-3111.
Or, you can send him an email <https://svc.mt.gov/gov/contact/shareopinion>.
Tell him to VETO the following bills:
HB 403 <https://northernplains.org/bills/hb-403/>: Tax break for Signal Peak coal mine
HB 476 <https://northernplains.org/bills/hb-476/>: Allows the Board of Investments to loan more public money for coal-fired power plants
SB 252 <https://northernplains.org/bills/sb-252/>: Allows Colstrip to bypass the Major Facility Siting Act
SB 328 <https://northernplains.org/bills/give-new-coal-strip-mines-a-massive-tax-break/>: Tax break for new surface coal mines
SB 329 <https://northernplains.org/bills/extend-the-otter-creek-coal-tract-leases-for-another-ten-years/>: Extends Arch Coal's lease at Otter Creek for an additional 10 years.
