Lost in the Backcountry. Now What? 

 

Are you prepared if your hike doesn't go as planned? Join the Shining
Mountain Chapter of the Montana Wilderness Association and REI for a free
evening presentation that will focus on what to do if you find yourself lost
or disoriented in the backcountry. Thoughtful planning and preparation can
go a long way in keeping outdoor adventure safe and on track. We will talk
about observational strategies, behavior and gear. 

 

REI instructor Bob Reider has worked in the Co-op for 30 years. Bob began
his REI career in Alaska before joining the Missoula team in 2001. He enjoys
many outdoor activities including backpacking, paddling, cross country
skiing and cycling.
