The City of Missoula, and other transportation planners,
are starting the process to transform Higgins Avenue,
from Brooks to Broadway.
The Hip Strip is particularly dangerous for those
that travel by bicycle, with many close calls and
crashes over the years.
Together we will fix that and grow a healthy streetscape,
for people, community and all modes of mobility.

click on 'Higgins Avenue Corridor Plan'
The Downtown Master Plan already calls for a 4 to 3
or 4 to 2 lane conversion on Higgins, along with
protected bike lanes (aka 'Cycle Tracks').
Fewer lanes for cars, protected bike lanes, good
pedestrian crossings, excellent transit, and slower/smoother
car flow typically means a more livable community, a more
equitable transport system, better business, and meaningful
progress to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Make your voice heard today, and thanks!
p.s. Please forward to other interested people.
