Hi folks a friendly reminder that you’re invited to an event hosted by the Flathead-Lolo-Bitterroot Citizen Task Force today Tuesday, February 28th, at Goodworks Ventures, 129 W. Alder Street, in Missoula. We will present our “Citizen Forest Plan,” which was written in conjunction with the Friends of the Bitterroot. Beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be served between 5:00 - 6:00 PM. The presentation will be between 6:00 - 7:00 PM.

The Lolo and Bitterroot National Forests are revising their forest plans, which will guide management activities for up to thirty years. These forests still retain all of the species present at the time of the Lewis & Clark Expedition. The forests are also part of the largest remaining wildlands area in the lower 48 states, and serve as key connectivity areas linking the major blocks of wildlands in the Northern Rockies.

Come and learn how our Citizen Forest Plan will protect wildlife, waterways, roadless areas and designated Wildernesses. We have submitted our plan to both national forest supervisors, with the goal of having it listed as an alternative during the forest plan revision process.

For questions, please contact Patty Ames, President, Flathead-Lolo-Bitterroot Citizen Task Force at lunaswan415 at gmail.com <mailto:lunaswan415 at gmail.com>

Thanks!
