[MCN] Take action to have a voice on the utility commission

Today, right now, is your chance to engage in democracy and get a voice on
the utility commission. My name is Elena Evans and I’m trying to get on the
ballot for the Public Service Commission that regulates monopoly utilities.
I was inspired to run so we have a voice against rate hike after rate hike.
When I found out that the incumbent, who rubber-stamped those increases,
was running unopposed, I decided it was time to take action.  I need your
help. To get on the ballot as an independent, I need 3,050 valid signatures
from a gerrymandered area - check you address

 to be sure you are in District 4. These signatures need to come from you
and your neighbors. They have to be in pen and paper and we only have until
May 27th. You can be a part of this grassroots effort and the story of

We will be at the Break Espresso on MWF from noon - 1 and Tues/Thurs from
5-7 and at the Bandshell at Bonner Park Saturday and Sunday afternoon for
the next two weeks.


This will only succeed as a grassroots effort and we need your help!
