Greetings!

For immediate release:

Frog Squire Choir debuts a community play, Excuse Us!

All are welcome to attend the debut performances of a group of community
members, at Free Cycles Missoula on Sept 5th, 6th and 7th.

The play, about 45 minutes long, focuses on local community, the
environment, coming together to solve challenges, drought, family, and
frogs!

"I love how community comes together in so many different ways in
Missoula, and this play is no different. So many people have pitched in,
and I really like the themes of transformation, growing community and
hair-raising fun. It feels like Missoula is rising up to support each
other, honoring nature and getting creative with reused materials", said
Bob Giordano, one of the co-producers.

"This type of theater is a vehicle for connection. I'm motivated by the
power of story telling and a shared common goal, during wacky times. In
this challenging world, we are talking about how to cure a caterpillar
with the sniffles, the specific curve of Mourning Cloak butterfly wings
and community. It feels like an essential thing to do", said Taylor
Stein, a co-producer and director of the play.

This new group, the Frog Squire Choir, was inspired to act by the
esteemed theater troupes, Bread and Puppet and String and Shadow. Both
troupes have performed at Free Cycles in the past and deeply energized
both Stein and Giordano.

The origins of this play, Excuse Us!, stem from Giordano singing an
original song to Stein, about a 'Farmer in the Field', and Stein then
writing the main scrip.

The performances are at 7pm on Sept 5th and 6th, and 4pm on Sunday Sept
7th, at Free Cycles. A donation based concert by Dessert Fantasy will
follow the play on Sept 6th, with the band playing 830 to 10pm. A
community potluck with follow the Sunday performance.

More info can be found on the Free Cycles online calendar.
