[MCN] Support Option A – say yes to natural grass at Ogren Park!

Hi folks,

If you haven't heard, the City is considering replacing the natural grass
baseball field at Ogren Park with artificial turf.

We believe baseball is as American as apple pie, but artificial turf is a
toxic twinkie. We've known for a long time that junk food is bad for our
health. Now, thanks to science, we know artificial turf is, too. Here's just

*URGENT ACTION ALERT!*
*Tell Missoula City Council today: **Support Option A – vote for natural
grass!*

We had a good showing last Wednesday at the City's Climate, Conservation,
and Parks Committee. Due in part to the extensive public comment, the
committee didn't have time to make a motion regarding artificial turf or
natural grass at Ogren Park. Here is a link to the video recording

The issue will be heard in committee again this Wednesday, December 10, so
there is still time to make a difference!

*Email or Call City Council and tell them, “I support Option A, please vote
for natural grass.”*

*What is Option A?*
The Parks Department has recommended 2 possible motions. Option A is a
rejection of artificial turf and, if it passes, means Ogren Park will
remain a natural grass field. Option B is an approval to replace the
natural grass at Ogren Park with artificial turf.
