Join us on Wednesday, February 11 for the second 2026 Missoula Area Chamber of Commerce Forest Conversations event. February’s conversation will explore ponderosa pine, highlighting forest and fire ecology and unique aspects of managing local ponderosa forests, and features three local experts -- Sharon Hood, Research Ecologist at the Forest Service Rocky Mountain Fire Sciences Lab, Beth Dodson, University of Montana Professor of Forest Operations, and Shawn Morgan, Thompson River Lumber forester.
This event is free to attend and open to all. Free beverages are provided.
The event will take place in the Balsamroot conference room at the Missoula Butterfly House building (GM Marks Exploration Center) on
Wednesday, February 11 from 6-7:30pm

Looking ahead to next month, the March Forest Conversations event will be Wednesday, March 11 and will feature tribal perspectives on forest management with a panel of speakers from the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes.
The Forest Conversations series is co-hosted by the Missoula Chamber of Commerce's Forest Resources Committee and the Missoula Conservation District.
