Tell Us Something Announces Call for Storytellers: "Pursuit of Happiness"
MISSOULA, MT — Tell Us Something is officially inviting community members
to share their unique voices for its upcoming live storytelling event on
September 23, 2026. The theme for the evening is “Pursuit of Happiness.”
Whether it is a story of a wild adventure, a quiet realization, a
hard-fought triumph, or a humorous misstep along the way, Tell Us Something
wants to hear your true, personal stories. No previous storytelling
experience is required—just a willingness to share a piece of your journey
with a live audience.
Submission Details & Deadlines
Aspiring storytellers must submit their pitches by August 28, 2026.
Selected storytellers will be required to attend a Group Workshop on
September 12, 2026, where they will receive coaching and feedback to refine
their performance. The journey culminates in a Live Event on September 23,
2026.
How to Pitch
Tell Us Something uses a unique pitch line to gather stories. To be
considered, please:

Call 406-203-4683 to leave a voicemail with a summary of your story

Ensure your summary includes a clear beginning, middle, and end. NO
CLIFFHANGERS.
Accessibility Note: Our Deaf friends and neighbors are encouraged to pitch
via email by sending their story summaries to info at tellussomething.org.

Tell Us Something is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Missoula,
Montana. It dedicates itself to building community through the art of oral
storytelling. Events feature diverse voices from all walks of life, sharing
personal stories that are true, told without notes, and centered around a
common theme.

The mission of Tell Us Something is to awaken imagination, empower
storytellers and connect the community through the transformative power of
personal storytelling so that community members will have a better
understanding of themselves and of one another. Tell Us Something provides
opportunities for storytellers of varied abilities to learn from one
another and share their enjoyment of personal storytelling.
