color:black;mso-color-alt:windowtext;background:white">The goal of No Enemy Movement Observed is to create an exhibit respectful of the combat veteran’s experience
while delivering a nuanced examination of the Vietnam War. </span></i></a><i><span style="font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-family:Calibri;mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-latin;
color:black;mso-color-alt:windowtext;background:white">The exhibit is not meant to represent
everyone’s experience of the war</span></i><i><span style="font-size:12.0pt;mso-bidi-font-family:Calibri;mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-latin">, but to tell the story of a twenty-year-old man removed from his middle-class California setting, trained to be a “basically
qualified Marine,” and placed in combat half a world away. A story that many returning combat veterans struggled to communicate when returning from the war at the time.

black;mso-color-alt:windowtext;background:white">Another goal of the exhibit is to create a space that assists veterans from more recent conflicts connect to the shared combat experience, that they too can survive the trauma and put together
a life again. Working with the Missoula Vet Center, curator Ted Hughes designed an inner room to reflect on PTSD to help non-veterans relate to the challenges of returning from combat and provide resource materials for veterans currently struggling.
