<html><head></head><body><div class="ydpd8e7426ayahoo-style-wrap" style="font-family:times new roman, new york, times, serif;font-size:16px;"><div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false"><div><div>The Vital Ground Foundation</div><div>Position Title: Administrative and Finance Assistant<br></div><div>Reports To: Administration and Finance Director</div><div>Classification: Full Time/Non-Exempt</div><div>Status: 40 hours per week</div><div>Range: $18.00/hour</div><div>Starting Date: TBD</div><div><br></div><div>Summary/Objective: Under the supervision of the Administration and Finance Director this position provides clerical and accounting support required for maintenance of accurate records and correct processing of financial transactions; Prepares, processes and maintains donor and accounting records; Reviews documents for accuracy and completeness; Provides exceptional customer service working as first contact for visitors to Vital Ground.</div><div><br></div><div>Essential Functions:</div><div>• Work as primary front office representation.</div><div>• Assist Membership and Donor Services Coordinator:</div><div>o Prepare and reconcile daily deposit of payments received by mail, in person, through the website, and through EFT and ACH transactions. Prepare bank deposits.</div><div>o Accurately process donations in donor management software.</div><div>o Prepare outgoing mail, donor acknowledgement letters/packets, merchandise orders and other mailings as required.</div><div>• Perform a variety of accounting functions required to ensure the accurate processing of financial transactions and proper accounting for funds received and disbursed by Vital Ground.</div><div>• Other duties as assigned.</div><div><br></div><div>Qualifications:</div><div>• Proficient communications; oral and written.</div><div>• Demonstrated ability to work independently.</div><div>• Excellent organizational skill and attention to detail.</div><div>• Proficient computer skill and in-depth knowledge of relevant software (QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, donor database).</div><div>• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize workloads.</div><div>• Ability to maintain organization confidentiality.</div><div>• Working knowledge of standard accounting practices.</div><div>• Strong conservation ethic.</div><div>• Ability to work as part of a team toward Vital Ground’s mission.</div><div><br></div><div>Working Conditions: This job operates in an office environment. Occasional travel required for board meetings, training and other opportunities.
