*THOMAS MEAGHER BAR COMMUNITY NIGHT TO BENEFIT THE MISSOULA DOWNTOWN
FOUNDATION*



*MISSOULA* – The Thomas Meagher Bar, 130 W. Pine Street, hosts the Missoula
Downtown Foundation (MDF) Monday, August 10 starting at 6pm.  Thomas
Meagher Bar’s Community Night donates 20% of all food and drink to a worthy
cause and the MDF is this coming Monday night’s non-profit recipient.  The
community is encouraged to attend the event to enjoy drinks, appetizers and
food, all to help further the mission of the MDF.



“As the MDF gears up for its annual Friends of Downtown Campaign, beginning
in September, Community Night at the Meagher Bar provides one more valuable
opportunity to let people know what our mission is and what we are working
on,” said Colleen Rudio, President of the MDF Board of Directors.
“Missoula’s business community continues to be creative in offering
non-profit organization’s exposure, raising needed funds, and giving back
to the community at large.”



The MDF is committed to enhancing and supporting the cultural, historical
and economic vibrancy by funding Downtown Missoula projects. Currently, the
MDF is working on funding several key projects in Downtown Missoula,
including Wayfinding, a pedestrian signage system in Downtown Missoula and
several informational kiosks.  The kiosks will focus on historical,
cultural, and business aspects of Downtown, but have yet to be designed or
funds secured.  Additional projects needing funding include the on-going
management of the Play It Missoula! piano project, and repairs to existing
Downtown holiday décor electrical wiring and electrical boxes. More than
$30,000 in repairs is needed in order to install Downtown holiday décor
this coming holiday season.
