Folks, check out David Rovics live streamed house concert this weekend, it’s free! David is a modern version of Woody Guthrie, traveling the world over, and writing songs about what he experiences — war, oppression, anti-capitalism, etc.

Subject: [DR] House concert at my place (and yours) this Saturday!

Hi folks,

OK, here's the plan: I'm going to do a live house concert in my living room at 2 pm Pacific Time (5 pm in New York, 10 pm in London, 11 pm in Copenhagen) this Saturday.

The show will mainly be for the global audience, livestreamed on Periscope (free). Which is a livestreaming service operated by Twitter. I was testing it out today, and it's really cool. Very easily interactive. You can comment, ask questions, etc. in between songs. Just go to http://www.twitter.com/drovics at 2 pm PT (3pm MST) Saturday and you'll see the link to the show appear.

It will be open to the public, for you Portland locals. Email me if you want to come, and I'll give you the address!

The concert will consist of all the songs I'll be recording in the studio this month, for the album that will be titled The Other Side.

The first session at Big Red Studio is Sunday... Your help spreading the word about the album when it's out on September 1st, as well as any last-minute financial contributions toward the whole process, are definitely most welcome.

Hope to see some of you in my living room and online on Saturday!

P.S. A bunch more gigs for my tour of Europe next month have come together in the past few days, but there's plenty of room for more gigs, if any of you Europeans have any ideas... Same goes for the west coast of the US and Canada in November, and the east coast of the US and Canada in March 2016!
