Hello Fellow Missoulians,

Please plan to join the Montana Sierra Club Aug. 1 as it awards an "Energy
Efficiency Champion" award to long-time green building practitioner Steve
Loken.

The owner of Loken Builders, Steve has been involved in hundreds of
building projects in western Montana and was a pioneer in green building
and energy efficient construction techniques.  He is recognized as a
national leader in the green construction field.  He received the Joule
Award from the Energy Efficient Building Association and the Professional
Achievement Award from *Professional Builder and Remodeler.*



In addition Steve is a natural teacher and takes great pleasure in sharing
his insights with others.  He was the keynote speaker at the Seattle Green
Building Conference as well as the National Green Building Conference at
the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C.



Monday's award ceremony will include a slide show of some of Steve's work.

Please join us as we honor Steve for his tireless efforts in environmental
stewardship!
