Montana Gives allows all communities in Montana to participate in Give Local

Not a lot of attention has been cast in Missoula on the new statewide Give Local campaign, Montana Gives. Of course, most of that has to do with Missoula Community Foundations outstanding work for the past 3 years with Give Local Missoula County.

We just wanted to take a moment to introduce you to a broader version of the giving day. This year the Montana Community Foundation has introduced a statewide giving campaign for smaller communities to have the opportunity to participate in this national day of philanthropy as well as provide a home for organizations like, Montana Food Bank Network, to truly represent the reach of the organization.

Montana Gives goal is to raise 1 million for Montana in 1 days time. We are proud to be a part of this goal and invite you to not only support the Missoula community, but to extend your reach throughout our great state.

The Montana Food Bank Network is a statewide organization that partners with over 150 food pantries, homeless shelters, senior centers, soup kitchens, schools, and many other organizations in Montana.

Through our partnership with Feeding America and our relationships with local food producers and agriculturists, we source large scale donations of food, break them down, and distribute them to our partners so they have a reliable source of high quality, healthy staples to provide their clients and consumers.

Our mission is to end hunger in Montana.

Fill a plate for your neighbor. Fill a plate for a child so they can focus on their science class today. Fill a plate for the single mom in Cook County that has been working 2 jobs just to make ends meet. Together we will fill 5,000 plates for Montana today.
