Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) advances the public purposes of colleges and
universities by deepening their ability to improve community life and to
educate students for civic and social responsibility. MTCC is an eighteen
campus higher education consortium, whose network office is hosted by the
University of Montana. MTCC is one of 35 State Affiliates of Campus Compact,
a national coalition of 1,100 college and university
presidents--representing over 6 million students--dedicated to promoting
community service, civic engagement, and service-learning in higher


The Program Specialist (Program Coordinator I) with MTCC is responsible for
supporting new site development and member recruitment for MTCC's AmeriCorps
and VISTA programs.  They will design and implement training curriculum and
provide professional development for program participants. MTCC orients
several classes of AmeriCorps and VISTA members each year, with over 100
(full-year and Summer Associate) members serving throughout Montana in the
areas of K-12 success, postsecondary access, college completion and veterans
and military family support initiatives.
