Hello,

Please join Osel Shen Phen Ling in welcoming Tibetan Buddhist monk and
scholar Geshe Thubten Sherab for his first visit to Missoula this coming
weekend, April 21-24 for a public talk and workshop series focusing on
mind-training techniques to lessen the impact of our negative emotions.

Geshe Sherab will give a public talk cosponsored by the UM Buddhist Club at
7pm on Friday, April 21 in UC 225 entitled Working With Negative Emotions.
The talk is free and open to the public.

He will also be teaching two workshop sessions at Osel Shen Phen Ling (441
Woodworth) from 10am-3pm, Sat., April 22, and 10am-12pm, Sun. Aprill 23,
focusing specifically on antidotes to attachment, anger, and ignorance.
There is a $75 suggested donation for the workshop but no one will be
turned away for lack of funds. Light vegetarian lunch provided on Saturday.

Finally, Geshe Sherab will also offer an evening Q and A session for
beginning and more experienced students of Buddhism from 6:30pm-8pm, April
24 at Osel (441 Woodworth).

Geshe Sherab was born in Nepal and is currently a resident teacher at
Thubten Norbu Ling in Sante Fe, NM. After 10 years of study at Kopan
Monastary, he went to Sera Je Monastery in South India for further studies
and graduated as Geshe at the end of 1999. He then joined Gyume Tantric
College for a year, before moving to the U.S. For more info on Geshe
Sherab and Osel Shen Phen Ling, visit our webpage www.fpmt-osel.org.
