Farm Business Workshops Offered in Missoula

*Learn skills for profitable farming and ranching in Montana*


Looking to start a farm or ranch? Wondering how to make your start-up
successful? MSU Extension is partnering with the Community Food &
Agriculture Coalition to offer a series of workshops from January to March
2017 designed to help. *Planning for On-Farm Success* is a seven workshop
series that teaches the skills needed to launch a farm business in Montana.



Each workshop includes expert presenters as well as local networking and
Q&A with experienced producers, ag service providers and local lenders. All
of these experts will help you work on *your* plan. The seven workshops are:

·      Jan 18: Farm Strategic Planning

·      Jan 25:  Researching Your Market

·      Feb1: Farm Marketing & Promotion

·      Feb 8: Managing Your Financials

·      Feb 15: Financial Decision-Making

·      Feb 22: Financing Your Farm

·      Mar 1: Managing On-Farm Risks



Workshops will be offered Wednesdays from 5:30-8:30 pm at the Missoula
County Extension building 2825 Santa Fe Ct, Missoula. Full registration is
$75 or $15 each for individual workshops with light refreshments included.
Full registration includes a copy of the *Planning for On-Farm Success*
workbook.
