Yes, if the Montana Wilderness Association, Yaak Valley Forest Council,
Montana timber mill owners and the Kootenai Forest Stakeholder Coalition
get their way industrial logging on the Kootenai National Forest could be
increased from the current level of approximately 50 million board feet to
90 million board feet.

Want to help visualize what 90 million board feet of logging per year on
the already heavily logging and roaded Kootenai National Forest would look
like?

Per year, it would require 18,000 logging trucks lined up end-to-end for
155 miles to haul out 90 million board feet of trees from the Kootenai
National Forest, which are public lands belonging equally to all Americans.

Below is an image of what parts of the Kootenai National Forest already
look like.

If you oppose a dramatic 80% increase of industrial public lands logging on
the Kootenai National Forest please contact the following groups and let
them know.
