*On April 11 Caroline Keys and Gibson Hartwell will present an intimate
evening of original music that spans their work together in Stellarondo
<https://stellarondo.bandcamp.com/album/stellarondo> and The LaneSplitters
<https://carolinekeys.bandcamp.com/releases> as well as a sneek peek at
Keys' new song cycle that riffs on Justin Timberlake's latest
Montana-themed album. You also can expect a pedal steel instrumental or
two. Hartwell is an accomplished instrumentalist who has made Missoula
more dynamic for his decades playing here. You may have seen him play
guitars and pedal steel with Tarkio, Tom Catmull + The Clerics,
Stellarondo, Martha Sclanlan, The Idle Ranch Hands, and The LaneSpitters.
He was recently profiled as Monday's Montanan by The Missoulian.
in every band that's good" a music-goer once told Keys. The
multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter has contributed to Broken Valley
Roadshow, The Best Westerns, Stellarondo, Whippletree, and Scrapyard
Lullaby to name a few. She'll tote acoustic guitar and clawhammer banjo to
The Roxy stage April 11. Keys also has a Monday's Montanan profile
her own. *

*Together Keys and Hartwell have logged countless road hours, scored films,
and recorded 3 albums together. They have collaborated with writer Rick
Bass and, in various formations, shared the stage with Sallie Ford, Willy
Vlautin, Dwight Yoakam, Ben Sollee, Blind Pilot, and kicked off the
inaugural Decemberists-curated Travelers' Rest Festival with The
LaneSplitters. Listeners at LakeBottom Sound Series can expect a
sonically rich evening of fellowship as they are invited in to a cozy
evening with a this pair of beloved Missoula Musicians who will perform as
a duo for the first time. *

*Faith Eliott is a visual artist and alt-folk musician from Edinburgh,
Scotland. They passed through Missoula on tour early last summer, then came
back for a visit in October and enjoyed it so much that they never left.
Faith’s songwriting is centred on the craft of storytelling. They write
about personal experiences, interspersed with tales of deep time, giant sea
sponges, and soviet space dogs. They released their debut EP on
Edinburgh-based label ‘Song, By Toad Records’ in 2016 and they are
currently in the process of recording a full length album. Faith is
delighted to be taking part in the Lakebottom Sound Series. *
