This Saturday, February 17 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the public is invited to bring fine art, decorative works, or rare artifacts to Missoula Art Museum for on-the-spot valuations by Missoula's own world-renowned art and rare object appraiser Timothy Gordon of Timothy Gordon Appraisals and Grant Zahajko of Zahajko Auctions. The cost is $20 per object. The two appraisers have donated their services on behalf of the museum and all proceeds from the event support free admission and public programming at MAM. Recently named one of Antiques Roadshow's top five appraisers by TVOvermind, Gordon has conducted numerous notable appraisals, including the Princess Diana gowns collection at Kensington Palace, the Jim Morrison estate writings, the Levi Strauss Archives, and over one million artifacts of the ghost town collections in Virginia City, Montana. Third generation auctioneer Zahajko has spent over 25 years specializing in memorabilia, ephemera, autographs, documents, antiques, and more. He has served as an appraiser for Antiques Roadshow's collectibles and sports memorabilia tables for the past six seasons, and founded his own auction house outside of Spokane in 2016.
