Coping With Sexual Assault Coverage in the News Cycle: A Community Conversation
WHEN: Tuesday, October 23rd, 7:00-8:30 PM
WHERE: Salvation Army of Missoula, 355 S. Russell
Join us for a community gathering and conversation to process the impact of the recent news cycle. Over the past month, the news has been covering the Supreme Court confirmation hearings and Dr. Ford's testimony, local Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, and the continuation of the #MeToo<https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/metoo> movement. All of this may have affected you, your friends and family, or the clients that you work with. News like this can have a significant impact, and it's okay to feel affected by it.
Representatives from YWCA Missoula, Relationship Violence Services, and Make Your Move will facilitate the discussion, provide community resources for support, and share action items and self-care ideas.
Free and open to everyone. Light refreshments will be provided.
RSVP on our Facebook event page<https://www.facebook.com/events/162094128074804/>.
