*IN THE MIDST OF A CLIMATE EMERGENCY NORTHWESTERN ENERGYWANTS TO THROW MORE
COAL ON THE CLIMATE FIRE.*
*LET'S STOP THEM IN THEIR TRACKS!*

All over the country utilities are moving away from dirty, expensive,
climate-wrecking coal. But here in Montana our monopoly, profit-making
utility, *NorthWestern Energy*, announced on Dec. 10
<https://missoulian.com/news/state-and-regional/northwestern-energy-plans-to-buy-bigger-stake-in-colstrip-power/article_a1818d4d-7f62-5303-b0d9-55c832c026f4.html>that
*they intend to expand their coal portfolio *by acquiring more of the
Colstrip Power Plant, even though sun and wind power are cheaper. Let the
Public Service Commission know that dirty, risky, expensive coal that
inflames the climate crisis is intolerable.
