Wednesday, August 7, 4-6pm, potluck to follow

Please register by August 4th<https://www.missoulacfac.org/programs/farmer-support/farmer-field-days-2019/>.

Forbidden Fruit Orchard grows "sinfully delicious" fruit near Paradise, MT. Owners Tom and Lynn McCamant sell their fresh fruit at Missoula and Clark Fork River Markets, as well as through the Western Montana Growers Coop. They grow a wide variety of fruit including peaches, cherries, apricots, and nectarines. As part of the field day, Tom will discuss several different orchard management systems and the challenges of growing fruit in Montana.

More than just a farm tour, Farmer Field Days cover techniques and tips that will help beginning farmers learn new approaches that they can implement on their own farms. While geared toward beginning farmers, all Farmer Field Days are open to the public. Afterward, stick around for a potluck social and meet more of your local farming community.
