*Friday, Jan. 17 - Missoula Friday Climate Strike*
Join Missoula families and youth every Friday at the Missoula County
Courthouse (200 West Broadway - Broadway side) from 12 - 1 p.m. as we stand
in solidarity with climate strikers around the world.

We are part of a global movement and our presence is an affirmation of the
need for strong, immediate climate action, as well as recognizing the
importance of supporting our youth and connecting as a community.

*Jan. 30th - Earth Day Organizing Meeting in Missoula *
Wednesday, April 22, 2020, marks the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. This
year we will come together to advocate for Earth's future, and our own.

On Thursday, January 30, from 4 - 5:30 p.m., you are invited to join other
Missoula-area youth and families to begin organizing for Earth Day 2020.
This first gathering will focus on creative brainstorming sessions and
gauging what a community vision for this day might look like.

Snacks provided! All are welcome! RSVPs appreciated so we know how much
food to bring! RSVP via the Facebook Event:
https://www.facebook.com/events/2387769754820585/ or via email,
livableclimate at gmail.com.

This event is co-hosted by Sunrise Movement Missoula and Families for a
Livable Climate.

*Submit to "The Changing Times"*
We're looking to connect as a community during this time of climate crisis
by sharing our voices, be they young, old, or in-between, while focusing on
adaptation, resiliency, grief work, climate activism, youth empowerment,
education, intergenerational support, traditional knowledge, and connecting
with one another through our relationship with nature and the creative
arts.

Now accepting submissions of original art, comics, photography, poetry,
articles, essays, stories, upcoming events, recipes featuring local or
seasonal ingredients, traditional skills, or any other creative pieces
being only limited by imagination.

Organized and edited by youth, while being supported by community mentors.
If chosen, submissions will be published in “The Changing Times”
newsletter, posted on the Families for a Livable Climate website, shared
via email and on social media, and occasionally, in print.
