The Missoula Urban Demonstration Project (MUD) has an exciting lineup of
upcoming workshops and events. Workshop tickets and details can be found at
https://mudproject.org/our-programs/workshops/

*April 17 (tomorrow!): Little Free Pantry Workshop*. Join us to make
meaningful changes from the bottom up by building your own little free
pantry! Little free pantries are a great way to increase mutual aid and
equitable access to food in your own neighborhood.

*April 23: Free Bee Installation Demonstration*. Two more colonies of
honeybees will soon call MUD home! We invite you to come observe their
installation into their hives on Friday, April 23, at noon at MUD. One
colony will be going into our new top bar hive and the other will be going
into a Langstroth hive. Head tool librarian Christian Russell will be
available for Q & A after the installation is complete.

*April 24: Volunteer Garden Planter Build Day with Seedlings for Solidarity*.
Seedlings for Solidarity and MUD are teaming up to ensure that community
members who need better access to fresh food are equipped with the skills
and materials to grow their own. On Saturday, April 24, we invite you to
join us for a garden planter volunteer build day. Volunteers will have the
opportunity to help build a variety of planter types that will then be
distributed to food-insecure individuals throughout Missoula. No previous
building experience necessary! Volunteers must sign up for either a morning
or afternoon volunteer shift at

*May 2: Soil Health Workshop*. Learn how to characterize your soil with
simple techniques anyone can do with practice. On Sunday, May 2, from 10 am
to noon, MUD instructor Mark Vander Meer will guide you through the process
of determining water and nutrient holding capacity, nutrient status, soil
aeration characteristics, and more. The workshop will also cover soil
improvement techniques. Bring ½ gallon of soil from your yard or garden to
work with.
