LOCALIZED LIVING, *Thursday, January 28, *4:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Join Families for a Livable Climate for the third event in our Systems
Change series, a free happy-hour panel discussion focussing on the many
benefits of "Localized Living!"

Prior to the event, participants are invited to watch the abridged version
(20 min.) of *The Economics of Happiness* <https://youtu.be/pyQaUDLW6ts>,
which spells out the social, spiritual, and ecological costs of today's
global economy while highlighting the multiple benefits of localization.
Then join us on Thursday, Jan. 28 at 4 p.m. when our panelists will discuss
what is happening in Missoula and greater Montana on the "localization"
scene in the realms of finance, policy, food, energy, and building
connected neighborhoods.

Panelists include Michele Schahczenski (general manager at Yellowstone
Valley Food Hub, Billings), Sam Duncan (community organizer with the North
Missoula Community Development Corporation, Missoula), Orion Thornton
(owner of Onsite Energy a renewable energy company based in Bozeman), and
Makenna Sellers (Northern Plains Resource Council).

 - 5:30 PM

A healthy population lives in balance with natural elements. Join Families
for a Livable Climate and Stories for Action for this free happy-hour event
to find out how actions taken on your front step and in Montana's towns can
have a great impact on waterways, biodiversity, climate action, and your
community.

Panelists include Kareen Erbe (permaculture educator), Naomi Alhadeff (Senior
Montana Education Coordinator for the National Wildlife Federation), Rose
Bear Don't Walk (ethnobotanist and a member of the Bitterroot Salish and
Apsaalooke Tribes), and Jamie Kirby (Montana State Coordinator for DNRC’s
