*Families for a Livable Climate <https://livableclimate.org/> is hiring a
Part Time Events & Education Coordinator.* This is a temporary, 9-month
position at 15 hours per week. $17 per hour. The position may be expanded
or extended if funding allows.

*POSITION DESCRIPTION:*
The Events & Education Coordinator will be the point person for Families
for a Livable Climate’s events and education efforts, including outreach
events, special projects, climate conversations workshops, and other
educational (including youth) workshops. Duties include:

   - Planning events and workshops
   - Leading partnerships and volunteer recruitment for events
   - Seeking out and coordinating event sponsors
   - Supporting event promotion
   - Managing event registration
   - Acting as point person and lead for special events
   - Tracking event expenses
   - Coordinating and attending community outreach events
   - Managing event data

*QUALIFICATIONS:*
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and adept at event planning,
working with partners and volunteers, have experience with organizing and
outreach, tracking expenses, using a database, and truly love working with
the public to inspire people to join in and work toward a livable future
for all.

High school diploma is required. Event planning experience is a must.
Experience in planning and leading workshops is preferred. CPR and first
aid training are a plus.
