[MCN] Missoula Plastic Initiative: Help gather 9300 signatures!

Hi friends,


Last week, our petition to collect signatures to put single-use plastics on
the November ballot was approved. We are now on our way to gathering 9300
signatures!

This is an enormous undertaking and a ginormous 😁 opportunity for our
community to take action on single-use plastic.


Many hands make light work (at least lighter work), so here are some ideas
for how you can help:


   -

   Sign the petition!
   -

   Join a signature gathering team at an upcoming community event like a
   farmers market, election day, Pride Fest, the Missoula Marathon, and more!
   -

   Start collecting signatures in your community by committing to collect a
   page (or more) of signatures (10 per page)
   -

   Be a MT Plastic Free Missoula organizer by committing to find 5-10 other
   signature gatherers (who will each commit to collecting a page or more of
   signatures)
   -

   Share this information with friends and family (click here

   Donate funds to hire a part-time organizer to coordinate volunteers and
   manage the campaign (we are currently managing this in our spare time and
   we need more capacity)
