We hope to see you at Missoula’s No Kings event on Saturday (tomorrow!) Here’s the link to sign up if you haven’t already <https://mobilize.us/s/MVVbLf>.

Here are a few reminders:

A core principle behind all NO KINGS events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

📍 Where: Parade/March on Higgins, Rally/Community Gathering at Caras Park

⏰ When: 4:00 pm - Meet on Alder Street by the XXXXes, east of Higgins to stage for the parade

There are bike racks at Caras Park - patriotically decorate and walk your bike during the parade!!

🧰 What to Bring: June 14th is Flag Day and we are reclaiming the American flag from MAGA extremists. Bring your American Flag!!!
Bring a Sign: There are a lot of pre-designed signs for you to print here: https://brandfolder.com/s/vqbb79z4p6hhkgkrxwp9nh
Stay Protected: Don’t forget your sunscreen and water!
Let’s Get Loud: Bring drums, kazoos, even pots & pans to make some noise as we parade down Higgins Ave.
Looking Sharp: Feel free to dress up for the parade (Statue of Liberty?) or bring creative arts

📣Spread the Word: Invite your friends and family to join the fun!  <https://mobilize.us/s/MVVbLf>

Public Safety: We are lucky to have a collaborative relationship with the Missoula Police Department. At our request, they have provided a statement:

“The Missoula Police Department supports everyone’s First Amendment Rights and protecting those rights is a core responsibility of the department. We are grateful this march is coordinated through a street use permit, as using public property within the guidelines of the permit is helpful in maintaining a safe event. The MPD will be nearby to monitor the event and be able to quickly respond if police intervention is needed. The MPD not detain or arrest anyone solely exercising free speech. However, unlawful or dangerous behavior, particularly as it impacts other people’s personal or property rights, will not be tolerated.”

Reminder: Please march safely and non-violently. Here are some resources for further information:
