Events on the way...

Friday Sept. 11th: free show with Three Eared Dog and the Partygoers. 
7:30-10:30pm.  dance and mingle on the piazza

Saturday Sept. 19th: 18th Annual Festival of Cycles, 10-6 at the shop.  We
need bakers, shakers and bicycle makers (bring food to share, instruments
to play and tools to help fix bikes).  goal: give away 50 free children's
bikes.

The bike festival kicks off Bike Walk Bus week, and we have a slew of fun
on slate:

Sunday Sept. 20th, 10am: BLOTS community ride.  Showcasing ways to move
children by bike, this is also a fundraiser for Free Cycles and BWAM.  see

BikeWell Workshops: Tuesday Sept 23rd 5-6pm, Wednesday Sept 24th from
4-5pm, Thursday Sept 25th from 3-2pm, Friday Sept 25th from 2-3pm, and
Saturday Sept 26th 1-2pm. Every class is offered at Free Cycles. Learn
maintenance tips, bike laws, safe riding skills and gain an orientation to
the Free Cycles community bike shop. Free. John 541-PATH.

Student Maintenance Day: Free air, lube, and minor tune-ups on the Oval,
Monday Sept 22nd from 12-2pm. Emily 541-PATH.

Right Sizing Orange: A Walking Discussion. This tour will focus on making
Orange St. a much more safe, pleasant, and efficient roadway for all. Meet
at the corner of Orange and 1st at 5pm on Tuesday the 22nd. Free fresh,
organic tomatoes for all participants. This event will be facilitated by

Family Fun Game & Craft Night: Community play nourishes the soul. Come
enjoy bicycle related activities at the Free Cycles community shop on
Wednesday the 23rd from 6:30-8pm. Also enjoy free organic lemonade and
homemade granola bars. Emily 541-PATH.

Reimagining the Hip Strip: A bicycling tour put on by MIST evaluating
existing street facilities and explore future design options. Meet at the
XXXs on Higgins at noon on Wednesday, Sept 24th. Free patch kits for all
participants. Bicycles available if prearranged through Free Cycles. Bob
880-6834.

Calming Your Rattles, Squeaks, & Chatters Workshop: Come learn how to take
care of pesky little noises on your bike. Friday, Sept. 25th at 10am. Free
use of tools and chain oil for all. Bob 541-PATH.

Sustrans Missoula- Roundtable discussion on the future of transportation
in the Missoula Valley. Issues include bike lanes, trails, roundabouts,
right sizing roads, greenways, sustainable paving, transit, bike share,
pedestrian plazas and more. facilitated by Missoula Institute for
Sustainable Transportation. Friday Sept. 25th, noon to 1pm at the Free
Cycles community bike shop. Free. Bob 880-6834.

Friday Sept. 25th, 5:30-9pm, at free cycles. 'Frames and Fun'; come join
for a party with food, beverage, live music and bicycle activity. Musical
guests: Gill and the Spills.  Free

The Parade of Bicycle Champions- Join the Free Cycles float in the UM
homecoming parade. Come dressed as your favorite bicycle
champion,inspiration or character.  Locke 541-PATH.

Last but not least is the Tweed Ride on the way Oct. 18th.  See
