Hello All,

Mountain Line expects delays to one of its busiest bus routes due to the City’s upcoming closure of the Russell Street Bridge on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 15 and 16 for much-needed road resurfacing. The Route 2 BOLT!, which normally serves the west side of Missoula from Southgate Mall to North Reserve Street with 15-minute service, will be forced to detour from Russell to the Orange Street Bridge to avoid the construction. Because of the extent of the detour, it will be difficult to maintain the high-frequency service many riders have come to rely on, so we are taking extra steps to inform the public ahead of time. Other routes could also be affected.

Buses will be detoured as follows: Inbound buses will detour east onto South 3rd Street from Russell, cross the river at Orange St. and then turn west onto Broadway before continuing their normal routing at Russell and Broadway. Outbound buses will head east on Broadway from the Russell intersection, crossing at Orange, before heading west to Russell via Cregg Lane and Wyoming Street. Outbound stops between Wyoming and Broadway on Russell will be closed. Inbound stops will be closed north of South 3rd to Broadway. The outbound stop at Russell and Dakota will remain open, but the inbound stop will be closed. Inbound buses will make stops along S. 3rd and Orange.

Mountain Line will be posting printed notices on all buses and at the Downtown Transfer Center beginning this week, as well as on the Mountain Line website, social media, and local media outlets. Riders are asked to plan ahead for extra time, especially if their trip requires a transfer to another route.

Mountain Line passengers with questions about the detour or where to catch the bus can call the Customer Service line at (406)721-3333 between 7am and 5pm or may email info at mountainline.com<mailto:info at mountainline.com>. Passengers are encouraged to use other transportation options if possible, with trip planning assistance available via Missoula in Motion at www.waytogo.missoulainmotion.com<http://www.waytogo.missoulainmotion.com/>. Normal routing is expected to resume on Thursday, August 17.

Thanks and please help us spread the word!
